The ABC Construction Confidence Index reports that the majority of Non-Residential contractors are confident about sales growth, profit and staffing levels in 2019.

The annualized value of Construction Put-in-Place was $1.29T in May 2019, 2.3% below its year-ago activity.

The Dodge Momentum Index (DMI) reached 146.1 in June 2019, 4.0% above the revised May score of 140.5.

In June 2019, the unemployment rate increased to 3.7% after adding 224K jobs, 21K of which were in the Construction Industry. 

Out of the large MSAs (1M+ population), 40 of 51 showed year-over-year unemployment rate decreases in May 2019 with Ames, IA, having the lowest unemployment rate of 1.5%.
