CPI-U, which measures inflation, increased 0.2% in February 2019, after being unchanged since November 2018.

The Dodge Momentum Index (DMI) reached 146.9 in February 2019, 4.4% less than the revised January score of 153.6.

The annualized value of Construction Put-in-Place was $1.28T in January 2019, 0.3% above its year-ago activity.

In December 2018, 621K new Single-Family homes were sold, 2.4% below its year-ago rate. The average sales price of the new homes were $377,000.

In February 2019, the unemployment rate decreased to 3.8% after adding just 20K jobs. The Construction Industry had a decline of 31K jobs.

Out of the large MSAs (1M+ population), 28 of 51 showed year-over-year unemployment rate decreases in January 2019 with Ames, IA, having the lowest unemployment of 1.9%.
