Construction Safety Tips: Overconfidence in Rescue and Protective Systems [Video]

Everybody's favorite drone pilots are back this week to do a little maintenance on their aircraft while delivering the eighth factor that influences risk tolerance.

Yeah, you read that right... they actually licensed these guys to pilot a drone. Follow along in this month's Construction Safety Video Blog.

While Frick performs the required part 107 inspection, Frack is content to just trust their drone to always return safely when the rescue button is pressed. One broken drone makes for a costly lesson learned!

Safety Systems are Backup, Not Plan A

Workers are often overconfident in safety systems and trust people will rescue them if they get into a bad situation. But by getting in a bad position, they're putting others at risk too – that's too high of risk tolerance.

Being overconfident in safety systems and rescue can create situations you can't get out of and lead you to make costly, even fatal mistakes.
